The Old Rectory is set in two acres of immaculately kept private garden, within the grounds of the exclusive Hartwell House Hotel, Restaurant and Spa. This elegant Georgian house has been furnished to the highest standards, in a traditional style while still benefiting from the modern comforts of flat screen satellite television and wifi internet access.

Arriving at the wisteria clad entrance with sweeping drive and neatly mown lawn offers a warm welcoming experience.  The ground floor offers a spacious living area with large well-equipped kitchen, a relaxed sitting room and more formal drawing room with french doors leading out onto the garden, a dining room with circular table for 8 persons, and a study.

Spread over the two upper floors, all of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and offer delightful views over the gardens and towards the ruins of the Gothic chapel, a feature in the grounds of Hartwell’s estate.  The first floor accommodates the master suite offering a sumptuous four poster bedroom with adjoining private sitting room and an ensuite bathroom, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom.  The second floor accommodates a double (or twin bedded) room and a single bedroom, both full of character and charm.

A highlight is the private outdoor swimming pool set in a secluded part of the garden, and a croquet lawn.
