CANCELLATION OF HOTEL RESERVATION
A reservation constitutes a contract between themselves and Hartwell House. Any reservation(s) cancelled within 48 hours of the arrival date (or within 14 days for bookings of five rooms or more, or for overseas booking) is liable to be charged for unless we are able to re-let the accommodation to another guest.
CANCELLATION OF SPA BOOKING
We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract between themselves and Hartwell House and a charge will be incurred for any treatment cancelled less than 24 hours prior to appointment (7 days for Spa Experience, Full Day, Lifestyle Day and Indulgence Day bookings). So that our clients are not inconvenienced, clients are requested to attend punctually for treatment. Those arriving late (will still be charged at the tariff price) may receive shorter treatments and, in the event of more than 30 minutes late, will probably not be able to receive the treatment booked.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Bedrooms are guaranteed to be ready by 2.30pm on the day of arrival.
Check-out time is by 11.30am on the day of departure.
We welcome children over the age of six years at Hartwell House.
Children of residents, between the ages of 6 and 16, may use Hartwell Spa between the hours of 9am-10am and 4pm-5pm, when accompanied by an adult.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENT
American Express, Mastercard, Visa and Delta credit/debit cards are accepted. We do not accept Diners Club.
All of our online payments go through WPS.
DRESS CODE POLICY
Dress code for gentlemen is smart please; trainers, tracksuits and shorts are not acceptable.
In line with National Legislation, Hartwell House is a NON-SMOKING HOTEL, including all public rooms, bedrooms and suites. A deep cleaning charge of £100 per day will be charged if evidence of smoking is detected in your room.
Dogs are welcomed (with a special welcome pack) in the Hartwell Court Garden Suites only, by prior arrangement, two small dogs or one larger dog, and may be walked in the park. Damage to rooms or injury to livestock will be charged for. We do not allow dogs in the Main House or dining areas (unless guide dogs).
MOBILE PHONES & LAPTOPS
In deference to the wishes of the majority of our guests, the use of mobile telephones and laptop computers is not permitted in public rooms.
For those wishing to have a meeting involving several people and extensive papers, private rooms may be available at an additional cost.
VALUABLES AND KEYS
The Hotel can only accept responsibility for valuables deposited with the Manager for safe keeping in one of the hotel’s safes. Please remember to leave room keys at Reception, especially when leaving the Hotel. The bedroom doors are not all self-locking.
