Restaurant Manager

We are a 4 Red Star, 2 Rosette, Grade l listed country house hotel of the National Trust and member of PoB Hotels. Located in the Vale of Aylesbury, with train links to London Marylebone and a local bus to the city of Oxford.
You will have responsibility for the overall running of the restaurant, bar and private events.

We will ask you to work an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 with a mix of straight and split shifts as required and will provide you with the support you need.

Chef de Partie
Our aim is to provide exceptional food to all our guests when visiting this magnificent historic house hotel.
An attractive salary together with a great working environment and career development is offered to those who join us.
Ideally you will have experience at a similar level together with a passion for food and working with fresh ingredients. We are looking for someone motivated and committed to join our Brigade.
Working 48 hours per week 5 days out of 7, with straight shifts weekdays, and split shifts only at weekends.
You will:
- have good culinary skills and the ability to multi task and work effectively under pressure
- demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills and be good at working as part of a team
- take pride in your work
- be committed to creating exceptional standards of food
- be able to work all sections sauce and garnish and larder and pastry
- work well alongside others and equally well on your own
- be fully compliant with basic food hygiene and allergens legislation and understand their importance in the kitchen
Salary range is £28,000.00 - £30,000.00 per annum inclusive of service charge and subject to experience
Live in is available in a shared two bedroomed flat within an easy 10 minute walk of the hotel, and charged at a competitive rate
Volunteering
For those who wish to assist the National Trust as volunteers, opportunities are available in the gardens and kitchen.
Anticipated hours are 6 - 16 hours per week.
Travel allowance, plus benefits after 50 hours work.
